An 8-year-old Middlebury boy is in the hospital after he got caught in farm equipment.
It happened Saturday around 11 a.m.
Emergency crews say the boy was chasing a dog through the cornfield on his neighbor's farm while his dad was collecting corn.
His father didn't see him, and the boy's legs got caught in the corn-picking machine.
The boy was flown to Memorial Hospital. Police say both of his legs were crushed.
No word on his condition yet, but his family says he was smiling when he was put in the helicopter.
