Age of Aquariums in Goshen announced Thursday it is going out of business.
The store has been open for more than 26 years, but a decline in customers is forcing them to close the doors for good.
"Sorry I have to say it, but we are going out of business, unless things turn around drastically in the next two weeks," said owner Gary Ferrell. "I have worked here all year and I have received two paychecks."
Part time employee Morgan Rhodes has worked at the store for a little more than a year and decided to use what she's learned towards a high school assignment.
"For government I was supposed to write a letter to Congress to persuade them of something, and I figured the small business would be something good to write on," Rhodes said.
When Ferrell saw Rhodes' letter asking for help for small business instead of big business, he felt compelled to send it to the newspapers.
"Small businesses didn't really anything, and I figured it'd be something good to write about and see if something could take action," said Rhodes.
Without any action or assistance, Ferrell will close the store at the end of November, leaving Rhodes without employment.
Ferrell said when he purchased the business seven years ago after working at the store, business was thriving. He said if he could do even a fourth of the revenue he made then, the business would continue to succeed.
Rhodes' teacher has not graded her letter to Congress, yet.
