Michiana Prepares for Easter

You may have to be dressed in layers to hunt for the eggs this year, but many people will still celebrate the tradition.

Although the weather certainly does not feel like Easter weekend,
shoppers stocked up on the necessary supplies to celebrate the holy weekend at Martin's in South Bend.

The supermarket is closed Sunday so plenty of shoppers made a last minute trip.

Some people chose to celebrate Easter the night before

On Notre Dame's campus at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart its the traditional Easter Vigil where the pasqual candle is lit and brought in, and the flame shared throughout the congregation

With standing room only, it truly is a popular tradition.

To prepare for the Easter vigil at the Basilica they start getting ready after Christmas Mass.
