A home on South Bend's southwest side caught fire just before 6:30 Sunday evening.
The South Bend Fire Department tells NewsCenter 16 a man came back to his home on the 1700 block of South Walnut to find a bedroom on fire.
He tried to get the fire out on his own, but could not.
Fire crews were able to put it out in about ten minutes.
No one was hurt, and crews were able to keep the fire contained to the first floor.
