The US attorney for Northern Indiana will appear in front of a senate panel on Wednesday.
President Bush nominated Joseph Van Bokkelen to the federal bench.
Right now he is the top federal prosecutor for the northern third of the state.
He faces questions from the Senate Judiciary Committee as a part of his confirmation hearings.
