Getting families together was also a big goal for a workshop at the Home Depot in Mishawaka on Saturday
Kids learned the basics of building, by creating their own roller coaster cars.
The Home Depot and Six Flags teamed up for the event.
The free workshop let kids put together the wooden cars and decorate them however they want.
The store hosts these workshops every month. “The first Saturday of every month we have a kids workshop. It promotes giving back to the community and mother/father bonding with their kids. And try to teach them the basics on hammering and tool accessories here,” explains Assistant Manager, Eric Zbrzezny.
Next month, the Home Depot is planning a workshop about making your own herb garden.
