Why not spend the afternoon in the sandbox?

According to a new study playing in dirt is actually beneficial to your mental health.

Researchers found the behavior of lab mice that were treated with “friendly” bacteria in soil, changed, as if they were treated with an anti-depressant.

Researchers say the bacteria activates a group of neurons in the brain that produces Serotonin.

Lack of Serotonin is believed to cause depression in some people.
