Mishawaka Pizza Hut Robbed

Police are asking for your help, finding a man who robbed the manager of a Mishawaka restaurant.

It happened just before 10:00 Wednesday morning, outside the Pizza Hut delivery store on State Road 23.

Police say a female employee was leaving the building, when a heavy-set man approached her.

He hit her in the head and took her bank bag.

The suspect then fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

K-9 units were called in, and local police set up a perimeter around the restaurant.

“This community has always been very, very big on cooperating with each other in situations like this. We have county and south bend out here. Both agencies have always stepped up. We also try to reciprocate,” said Asst. Chief Mike Samp of the Mishawaka Police Department.

The suspect is a heavyset, African American, and is about 5’10”.

He was last seen wearing a black hoodie and baggie jeans.
