There is a new set of mammogram guidelines for women in their 40's.
The American College of Physicians put together the guidelines after reviewing many mammogram studies.
The group of doctors now recommends patients and doctors make the decision to get a mammogram on a case by case basis, depending on a woman's family history and other risk factors.
The College of Physicians also wants doctors to discuss potential harms of mammography with patients.
Those include pain, exposure to radiation, and false positives.
These new guidelines are for women in their 40's, most medical groups recommend yearly mammograms for women over 50.
