Allergy Sufferers May Have A Hard Summer

It is been a rough beginning to spring for many allergy sufferers.

This has already been one of the worst years for pollen and it might not be getting better any time soon.

Experts say, allergy levels have never been this high this early and the problem is simple, it's us.

“Carbon dioxide, burning fossil fuels is stimulating plants to make more pollen, and the weeds love this stuff,” said Paul R. Epstein, Ph.D. at Harvard Medical School

To help, doctors recommend taking medications 30 minutes before going outside.

Using air conditioning on high pollen count days, dry your laundry indoors, shower before bed, and wipe down pets that have been outdoors.

Doctors say another thing to keep in mind is that we are not the only ones suffering.

Experts say allergies are just as bad for our dogs and cats, as it is for us.
