Smoking Could Be In Your Genes

Why do some people have an easier time quitting smoking than others?

The answer may be in our genes.

Scientists with the National Institutes of Health found 221 genes that could increase a person's ability to quit smoking and stay that way.

More research needs to be done, but doctors say they are one step closer to tailoring medications for each person based on their individual genetic makeup.
