Some People Have Smokey Genes


Many raise the question of why do some people have an easier time quitting smoking than others, and the answer may be in our genes.

Scientists with the National Institutes of Health found two-hundred-twenty one genes that could increase a person's ability to quit smoking and stay that way.

More research needs to be done but doctors say they're one step closer to tailoring medications for each person based on their individual genetic makeup.
