April 2nd will mark the start of road construction in Michiana.
Starting Monday, several roads will be closed or restricted in the area.
The intersection of Olive and Brick on the northwest part of Saint Joseph County will be closed through the summer.
Olive is closed from Enterprise Drive north to Brick through the summer.
Brick is closed from Olive to the US 31 Bypass.
Crews will be adding sewers, lighting, and sidewalks to the roads.
On the south side of the city, Donmoyer Avenue will be closed from Main Street to Michigan as Nipsco repairs a gas main.
That road should be open by Thursday.
Improvements to the US 31 and New Road intersection will begin on Monday as well.
31 will be down to one lane in each direction near the intersection.
The speed limit in the area is dropping to 45.
This construction will last through July.
