Budget Battle Continues

The battle over Michigan's state budget continues.

Michigan's budget crisis could keep several State House Committees at work over the next two weeks during the Legislature's spring break.

Republicans and Democrats remain sharply divided over how to close a $940 million hole in the budget.

This week, a house committee did resolve part of the problem.

It approved Granholm's executive order that cuts $344 million in spending.
