This is the car police think was involved in the deadly hit and run accident on Tuesday. It was partially dismantled when police pulled it from a Mishawaka garage.
Police have a man in custody for a hit-and-run in mishawaka this week that left two people dead.
Mishawaka police arrested 23-year old James Kreuger at the Drake Motel just after 11 Wednesday night.
He is accused of running down 16-year old Adam Vickery and 43-year old Dennis Evans early Tuesday morning on 12th street.
Vickery and Evans had been walking with three other people when a car drove up on the shoulder and into their group.
A tip from an anonymous caller lead police to a house in Mishawaka where a car that matched the description of the vehicle involved in the hit-and-run had been partly dismantled.
The car was found in a garage at a house off of Lincolnway East.
Police say Kreuger lived very close to the scene of Tuesday morning's accident.
He is being held in the St. Joseph County Jail and Thursday will be officially charged with two felony charges of leaving the scene of a fatal accident.
They are still investigating whether alcohol or drugs were a factor.
