Playing High Action Video Games Can Be Good for Eyes

A few hours a day playing action video games can sharpen your vision.

That is the finding from researchers at the University of Rochester who tested college students over the course of a month.

Researchers say, video games with high action, can enhance your brains ability to process information it receives from the eyes, making things more clear and sharp.

Researchers say, the findings may be helpful to people with certain eye problems such as amblyopia or lazy eye.

Doctors say, despite the findings keep in mind video games should be played for only and hour or so a day. "You can't go play 10 hours of video games a day and think you're helping your eyes. Your eyes will be fatigued, you could have headaches, you'll be under a bit of eye strain, probably some dryness," says Optometrist, Dr. Cheryl Jost.

Doctors say, the best recommendation when it comes to improving your eye sight are regular eye exams and proper treatment.
