Southeast Side Gets A Face Lift

19 homes on South Bend's Southeast Side will get some much needed improvements, for free.

It is all part of the Rebuilding Together Program.

The homes are located in the Lincoln School neighborhood.

This year, Rebuilding Together will continue to help homeowners save on their home energy costs.

Roof insulation will be added to nearly all project homes, and some furnaces will be upgraded to high efficiency units.

Each year a different area is chosen based on those who need the assistance the most.

Richard Rozenboom, president, Rebuilding Together says, "There are residents in our community who are elderly or are physically unable to fix their homes and this is a way for us in the community to volunteer our time to help out those that can't."

If you want to help, you do not have to be a skilled laborer.

To volunteer call 235-9475.
