Tuesday a big step will be underway in a long awaited Mishawaka Project.
The city plans to tear down houses where the new Main Street Underpass will be built.
That underpass will alleviate traffic at the tracks between Jefferson and Mishawaka.
Monday crews put in some prep work clearing away trees.
David Jackson of Jackson Demolition says, “This is pretty much important. You want to be able to get your machines around the job site easily, trees can be moved out of the way, but the houses need to be torn down in a certain way.”
The demolition gets underway at 10 A.M.
We will have more on the project Tuesday on Newscenter 16.
