Services Held for Purdue Student

Hundreds turned out in Bloomington this morning to bid a final farewell to 19-year old Wade Steffey.

The Purdue freshmen disappeared back in January and after months of searching, his body was found last week in a dorm electrical closet.

Steffey's parents spoke briefly today, before their son's funeral.

"Your heart can only be broken if you're willing to love and your heart can only be mended if you're willing to love again," remarked the victim’s father, Dale Steffey.

Investigators think Steffey walked into the utility room by mistake, tripped and hit a transformer where he died immediately.
