Once again, a local team wins the Indiana state title game in Conseco. The Plymouth Pilgrims won the 3-A state championship on Saturday.

Junior guard Randy Davis scored 28 points as Plymouth beat Evansville Bosse 72-61 in the championship game.

Senior guard Jared Wendel added 20 points as Plymouth claimed its second boys basketball crown in three trips to the state title game.

Jack Edison led the Pilgrims to their only other state title in 1982. Saturday, he got his second win.

Plymouth (25-2) scored the game's first ten points, and Bosse never drew closer than eight.

Plymouth took its biggest lead of 18 points with 5:11 remaining in the third quarter.
