Michigan Students ‘Catch the Reading Wave’

March is reading month in Michigan and one local elementary school took full advantage of it.

Students at Justus Gage in Dowagiac took the challenge to read 200,000 minutes.

If they met the goal, the principal told the students they could dump water on him.

Of course, with that kind of reward, students hit the books.

In the end the principal got soaked.

The event was part of the school's spring reading project "Catch the Reading Wave.”
