People Get Help Taking Their Medicine

Most of us take medicine for granted, the doctor prescribes it and we take it.

But for some patients it is not that easy.

70-year-old Don Dentel is no couch potato, but a rare eye disease left him blind, depressed, and scared.

Routine chores, like taking his medications each day, became difficult and even dangerous.

But thanks to a microchip embedded in this prescription label, Don can now take the right doses of his six medicines safely.

Another new innovation?

Medicine that melts in your mouth.

It is especially helpful for people who have trouble swallowing.
