Telling someone you love them can bring more than just a smile to their face; it can help your health.

In a new study, participants wrote three love letters over a five week period.

Another group wrote about insignificant topics.

At the end of the study, those who wrote love letters had significantly lower cholesterol levels than those who did not.

Researchers say it shows there are non-pharmaceutical ways to target high cholesterol.
