A budget crunch is taking it is toll on the South Haven State Police Post in southwest Michigan.
According to our "Read It, Watch It" partners at the Herald Palladium, the post is losing a commander's position, a sergeant's position, and a state trooper.
They are not the only ones affected by this change.
A trooper at the Paw-Paw Post will also be out of a job.
The changes go into effect April 8th.
A total of 29 Michigan State Troopers are being laid off across the state.
Officer and civilian positions are being eliminated to make up for a $13.6 million State Police deficit.
