Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm and, House and Senate leaders, gathered Tuesday to negotiate how to close the state's $900-million budget gap.
Tuesday, Granholm sat down with House Speaker, Andy Dillion and Senate Majority Leader, Mike Bishop.
It was the first time the trio met to hash out their differences over the budget gap.
Granholm has proposed a 2% tax on services, like real estate commissions and movie tickets.
However, Bishop says the republican-controlled senate has no intention of bridging the gap with a tax increase.
