Michigan City Man Accused Of Confining Woman

A Michigan City man is accused of beating his ex-girlfriend and keeping her inside her apartment.

According to our Read-it, Watch-it partners at the Michigan City News Dispatch, 32-year-old Paul Hughes allegedly broke into his ex-girlfriend's apartment over the weekend.

He is accused of strangling her until she lost consciousness and threatening to kill her.

Police say Hughes kept the woman confined to her apartment for 24-hours.

When he finally left, she went to the hospital and called police.

Hughes faces several charges including burglary, criminal confinement and strangulation.
