Taskforce Keeps Streets Safe On St. Patrick’s Day

It proved to be a successful St. Patrick's Day weekend for St. Joseph County's Traffic Safety Taskforce.
Officers from Mishawaka, South Bend, St. Joseph County, and Walkerton teamed up to make sure party goers made it home safe.
Police arrested 30 people for driving under the influence, 109 speeding tickets, and 48 warnings were handed out.
Police also issued 45 seatbelt tickets.
St. Patrick's Day is one of the deadliest weekends of the year.
