A canal that runs through the city was dyed green Friday morning.
Residents braved the cold to take part in the annual tradition. Irish Dancers and an Irish Pipe Group joined in the celebration.
The greening of the canal is just the beginning.
Saturday, the annual Shamrock Walk takes place Downtown, which is followed by the St. Patrick's Day Parade.
