Payments Delayed By Tax Increase

State officials say your property tax bill may be late this year, because of delays in reassessment.

The state expects many counties to miss the May 10th deadline to mail this year's first round of tax bills.

Indiana tax officials say most counties should get at least one of two installments out by November.

It is not as bad as the 2002 reassessment, when some tax bills were delayed by nearly a year.
