Indiana Senate Committee Clears Seat Belt Legislation

A bill that would require everyone to buckle up in the Hoosier State is one step closer to reality.

The bill has cleared the Senate Committee.

The bill would require everyone to buckle up including those in both the front and back seats of vehicles, including SUV’s and pick-up trucks.

Currently, people age 16 and over are not required to buckle up in pickups.

The legislation now moves to the Senate.
