It is an exciting time in the city of Mishawaka and the Princess City is on pace to set another re-development record.
Tuesday night, the Mishawaka Plan Commission met in council chambers to approve various development projects.
Members approved the site plan for the re-development of the Marshall Fields building at University Park Mall.
The commission also approved architectural plans submitted by St. Joseph Regional Medical Center.
Construction is already underway on the hospital's multi-million dollar location on Douglas Road.
Mishawaka City planner Ken Prince said, "It's similar to last year, last year we broke all our records in terms of construction by approximately $18-million and we're looking to add a similar pace this year, so really it's people are just desiring to build construct and do business in Mishawaka, we think its great."
The plans for two condo developments were also approved, one on the Eastside of Battel Park and the other at Kamm Island Park.
