Michigan's Nurse Shortage

Looking for a career change?

You may want to look into nursing.

Michigan continues to face a nursing shortage.

The state estimates it will be short 7,000 nurses by 2010, and that number could grow to 18,000 by 2015.

Governor Granholm wants to create a Michigan Nursing Corps.

The three year, 45 million dollar plan would train 500 more nursing instructors in the state.

Indiana experienced a similar shortage a couple of years ago.
