Local kids are teaching others how to fight bullies without ever raising a fist.
18 area middle and high school students came together on a special project, a comic book dedicated to anti-bullying.
Thursday, a crowd gathered to see the result of their hard work.
The comic book and its super hero characters focus on the mission of the "take ten" program to resolve conflict in a peaceful way.
Ian Strandberg was part of the art team.
He said, “The comic is a story which promotes anti-bullying techniques and techniques to avoid violent conflict in school situations.”
Strandberg added, “Comics are a great medium. They really run the gamut in terms of what you can convey. And, I think they're often interpreted as for children, but just as an aside, comics are a great medium to tell all kinds of stories.”
The book is called "The Take Ten Crew and The Three O-clock Fight".
It will be available at all schools that take part in the take-ten program.
