Daylight Savings Time Won’t Affect Bars, Restaurants

It is almost time to spring ahead.

But when the time change takes effect this weekend, Indiana bars and restaurants will not have to close early.

The official start of daylight saving time is 2AM on Sunday.

But Governor Daniels says bars and restaurants can wait until 3AM so they will not have to stop serving alcohol an hour early.

He issued the same order last year when the entire state started observing daylight saving time.
