One day after a jury is seated, a convicted sex offender pleads guilty to voluntary manslaughter in South Bend.
47-year-old Leonard Thomas was accused of murdering 55-year-old Milton Brown.
In July 2005, Brown's body was found in an alley on North O’Brien Street.
He died of a gunshot wound.
Thomas was once convicted of a 1990 rape in Illinois.
In exchange for Tuesday’s guilty plea, Thomas faces up to 45-years in prison.
He will be sentenced on April 10th.
