You already cannot bring most liquids through security when you fly.
Now, you may have to leave some of your favorite electronic gadgets at home depending on what kind of battery they use.
The Federal Government is taking a look at fires like the one that happened in February of 2007 in Philadelphia.
It wants to know if the fire was caused by lithium batteries like those used in cell phones and laptops.
Right now the government is not looking at banning the batteries in carry on luggage, but it may keep them out of checked bags.
Lithium batteries have been blamed for at least nine fires on passenger and cargo planes since 2005.
