The fallout from the Roseland clerk-treasurer's decision, to close her office for a month, continues Tuesday.
Clerk-treasurer Cheryl Gridley sent Newscenter 16 a letter she received from town-attorney Jamie Woods.
In the letter, Woods tells Gridley he will file a suit to have her removed from office if she and her staff does not tell him in writing by Wednesday that they plan to go back to work.
Gridley closed the office Saturday, and does not plan to re-open it until April 9th.
She says she made the decision because Councilman Ted Penn was harassing her and her staff.
Gridley also sent us her response to Woods.
She tells him he has no right to tell her how to run her office.
We will of course continue to follow this latest controversy out of Roseland.
