The Michigan man who allegedly confessed to dismembering his wife was arraigned in court Tuesday.
Stephen Grant entered the courtroom this afternoon in a wheelchair to face premeditated first-degree murder and dismemberment charges.
Grant had no attorney at the arraignment because his former lawyer quit due to irreconcilable differences.
So, the judge said he would appoint one.
Police say Grant killed his wife in their suburban Detroit home, cut up her, and deposited her body parts in a nearby park in Macomb County.
He was arrested on Sunday in a wooded area of northern Michigan and hospitalized for hypothermia and frostbite.
A judge ordered grant to be held without bond.
