No Passport Needed to Travel to Puerto Rico and Virgin Islands

American territories in the Caribbean are hoping new US passport laws will be a boon for their tourism industries.

The US Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico are now marketing themselves as no passport destinations to people from the US mainland.

American travelers to non US islands now need a passport to get home.

Getting passports can be a pretty expensive task for families with children.

Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands are hoping families on a budget will choose to vacation there.

The Caribbean Hotel Association estimates a 10% drop in American tourist traffic this year because of passport changes.
