Former Congresswoman May Run for Governor

A former Indiana Congresswoman is considering a run for Governor.

Jill Long Thompson served in the House from 1989 to 1995 and she also unsuccessfully ran for Congress in 2002.

The 54-year old Democrat says she has talked with many people who have encouraged her to enter the 2008 Governor's race.

State Senate minority leader Richard Young already announced his candidacy.

Republican Governor Mitch Daniels has not said whether he will seek a second term but he has maintained an active campaign office.
