Many women spend a bundle of money, and time on their faces.
There is something simple, quick, practically free that will make a world of difference for your face.
"I don't. I don't wash my face at night," a woman admits.
"I don't wash my face at night before I got to bed. Ever. Barely," another confides.
"I don't really think it matters. I mean, I don't, I've never really thought about it,"
You are not washing your face enough.
And you're not coming clean with the doctor.
"They often times won't admit it to me that they aren't washing their face," says Dermatologist, Dr. Sandra Elder.
If you want your skin to look its best, you've got to wash it every, every night.
Dr. Elder says it's a great, simple way to help your skin look it's best.
Washing your face twice a day is best.
At night it is a must.
That is the doctor's orders. "You can't come home from partying and just hit the sack with all your makeup on your face. I think you run into trouble and that maybe that's why we have all this adult women with acne if they are not washing their face," Dr. Elder explains.
The doctor says know your skin.
Find a cleanser that fits your skin type and wash in a circular motion with lukewarm water.
Hot water can do damage.
Use a clean soft wash cloth and blot off excess water.
Do not scrub, but pat dry.
Do not forget the moisturizer and sun screen. "You know I have a fairly fast routine, but I do it every night, every night."
"I just feel like I want to wash the makeup off. The eye makeup off. Everything. And then I put some lotion on, try and keep the wrinkles from coming up."
Here are some other tips:
Put that anti aging cream on, and let it work it's magic overnight.
The doctor also says change your pillow cases often, especially if you are prone to acne.
They will not cause acne, but dirty pillow cases may make your pimples worse.
