Next time you are shopping in Mishawaka, you can also enjoy a little artwork.
Three outdoor mosaics went up Tuesday at the Heritage Square Shopping Plaza.
The colorful works of art were carefully put in to place.
They are called the "Three Sisters Mosaics" and they depict Native American maidens carrying corn, beans, and squash.
Architect Richard Economakis said, "It's been a long voyage for the mosaics. They were designed here in South Bend. They were put together and fine tuned by designers in Portland, Oregon.”
Economakis added, “We're really excited to see them go into place."
Each mosaic has about 1,800 tiles in 40 different shades of color.
