New Database to Keep Hoosiers in Shape

A new database will help keep Hoosiers safe.

Indiana is set to become the second state in the nation to create a hospital-specific reporting system designed to prevent medical errors.

Early next month, a web site run by the Indiana State Department of Health will debut.

It discloses information about medical errors including the name of the hospital where the error occurred and the type of error.

Minnesota was the first state to set up such a system.
