Indiana Statehouse Budget Standoff

Video will be available shortly

The Indiana State budget created a stand-off in the statehouse Thursday night.

Also, funding for Penn-Harris-Madison schools was at the center of the debate.

The Democratic controlled House was set to pass the budget bill Thursday night.

But Democrat Craig Fry of Mishawaka held out on the vote.

Fry said the budget needed to factor in an additional $2-million in funding for the Penn-Harris-Madison school district.

The bill was passed along party lines but Republicans say the move was the same as buying a vote.

Now, the bill moves to the Republican-controlled Senate where it could see major revisions.
