Benton harbor schools run into some problems in its search for a new superintendent.
Paula dawning is stepping down in June.
To help find her replacement the school board contacted the Michigan Leadership Institute.
The original cost was expected to be about $8,000.00
But after advertising and other costs, the district realized it would actually cost $10,000.00
The contract was pulled at this week's school board meeting.
The Michigan Association of School Boards submitted a proposal for about $7,500.00
Now, school officials are looking into that option.
