Goodwill Benefits from Good Publicity

Another local charity got a much needed boost in donations with the help of Christian radio listeners today.

Pulse fm broadcasted live all day outside Goodwill's Ireland road location.

DJ Rick Hummer helped collect more than 130 donations, that is compared to an average winter day of only 30.

With donations at an all-time low, goodwill says it could be forced to get rid of employees.

“We really need people to start thinking about getting your spring cleaning done getting your closets cleaned out. Bring your items to goodwill,” says Asst. store manager Deanna Kell.

Goodwill attributes the significant decrease in donations to recent bad winter weather and an annual decline of charitable donations around the holidays.

You can drop-off your hand-me-downs, seven days a week at, any Michiana Goodwill location.
