The year 2006 was great for the Princess City and Mishawaka’s leader says he is banking on 2007 to be better.
Tonight, Mishawaka Mayor Jeff Rea delivered his state of the city address to the common council.
Dozens of city residents were on hand to hear some of the highlights of Mayor Rea's 227-page-report.
"2006 was just a fantastic year, record new construction, great capital investment, major projects moved forward, the main street underpass, which has been our top transportation priority since the early 1980s, finally moved forward with the acquisition of property, construction will begin in 07, the new hospital broke ground, demolition, and plans for re-doing university park mall," says Rea.
Rea says there is a lot going on in the next 100 days in Mishawaka.
Riverwalk will be completed ground will be broken on the Uniroyal site and on the Main Street underpass.
