Two children turned up missing this morning,
In an unusual case out of Nappanee.
One of the children, 14-year old Alma Ocampo, was the mother of the other child, 2-month old Angel Ruelas.
Both were placed in protective custody at a foster home about a week ago.
That’s when a trip to the hospital revealed that the child had a broken arm, and that accidental causes had been ruled out.
Both mother and son were reported missing from the foster home around four o’clock Monday morning.
By mid-afternoon, they had been found at a relatives house in Elkhart.
Police continue to investigate.
