Surgeons Get Skills from Games

Video will be available shortly.

Surgeons who play video games may have better surgical skills than those who do not.

In a small study researchers surveyed surgeons on their past and present video game habits, and then scored their performance on simulated surgery drills.

They found surgeons with the best video game skills made nearly 50 percent fewer errors and performed procedures faster.

Experts say this is not a free pass for kids to play video games for hours on end.

Most of the surgeons played only three hours per week.
