Police in Chicago are investigating a brutal triple murder since three women were found beaten to death with a hammer.
Police say they are holding a man as a "person of interest" in the murders of his wife, sister-in-law and mother-in-law.
The victims were found bludgeoned to death yesterday morning in two nearby houses on Chicago’s north side.
Police found the bodies when they answered a call about a domestic dispute when they also found a man beating himself in the head.
People who know the victims were shocked to hear about the murders
"I met him during Christmas time and he did not look like a person who was capable of doing something bad like that he was very quiet, very well mannered," says Edmond Shasho, a friend of the victims.
Investigators think the man had fought with his wife and her stepsister at their home
Then went around the corner to his in-law's house and attacked his mother-in-law.
